The shine is decent and it cures pretty quickly and evenly. You don t need to sand or prime your nails but you do need to tidy up your cuticles and shape your nails. Gel is also wonderful for nailart as the polish usually moves a little easier and if you make a mistake you can just wipe it off and start again. My complaints are that it smells for quiet a while after being applied and cured.
